The exhibition provides a comprehensive look at Guimard's career, his wife's creative collaboration and his commitment to accessible design
Hector Guimard (1867-1942) is the French architect and designer whose name is synonymous with the French Art Nouveau movement. Bringing together approximately 100 works including furniture, jewelry, metalwork, ceramics, drawings and textiles from collections worldwide, this is the first major American museum exhibition devoted to Guimard since the retrospective organized by the Museum of Modern Art in 1970
Please meet at the Driehaus Museum, 40 East Erie, starting at 10:15 AM, no later than 10:25 AM
The Driehaus Museum is located on the northeast corner of Wabash and Erie, two blocks west of Michigan Avenue
The museum will validate parking at ROW Self-Park, 50 East Ohio St, Chicago. The rate is $15 for up to 6 hours
Cost is $30 for members and $35 for non-members CADS is a 501 (c)(3) organization and all contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law
