Few people wielded as much influence over the texture and color of modern interiors in America as California designer and weaver Dorothy Liebes.  She collaborated with the most prominent architects and interior designers of the mid-20th century, including Samuel Marx, Frank Lloyd Wright, Henry Dreyfuss, and Donald Deskey. The “Liebes Look”—nubby handwoven textures with saturated colors and sparkling metallics—penetrated every market and every price point, and can still be felt in interior and fashion fabrics today.

Join Susan Brown and Alexa Griffith Winton for a discussion of Liebes’s impact, from her roots as a California handweaver to her role as an internationally recognized design and color authority.
